This is what I wore to school today. I made this dress this past fall. I used to wear it a lot, but strangely enough, I haven't posted it on the blog yet. What's uber-cool about it is that it's made out of fabric from a vintage dress. Cute and eco-friendly. I have been playing around with iPhoto effects today, because I can't seem to get Picnik to work on my MacBook anymore. I think this high-contrast, black/white look is the perfect complement to the retro feel of this dress.
These are some of my favorite looks from other blogs and on Lookbook. I'm quite inspired.
This first one is from Fashion- Canvas. I love all of it-- the oversize cape, the striped leggings, the extreme cat-eyes, and the combat boot. The perfect combo!
This look is by Alice M. on Lookbook. I think this one is pretty self explanatory. I love stripes! And the hot pink lips are chic and trendy. I am loving the Urban Outfitters-esque nautical thing going on.
I'm loving this monochromatic red look! I want to try it so badly, but I don't know if I could pull it off. It's from NovaStyle.
I just really love this photo. Check out the Alexander McQueen boots! But I don't know where it's from.
I found this headband on Modcloth a long time ago and saved the picture. It's not available anymore but I think I might make my own out of some faux butterflies from JoAnn's or a craft store.
Hey guys! Don't forget-- I'm on Lookbook and Twitter!
This is what I wore out to dinner tonight. I wore it to school today with a studded belt and my oxfords. I bought this shirt at Forever 21 a long time ago and it took me forever to figure out what to wear with it.
Jeans, Guess. Shirt, Forever 21. Blazer, New York and Company. Shoes, Mixx. Bag, Betsey Johnson. Bracelet, Marc by Marc Jacobs. Flower, Forever 21.
Today I felt really wild and crazy and decided to mix my prints. I love this skirt more and more as the days go on. I feel that it goes with just about everything!
For this photo-shoot, I was attempting to get some better pictures to enter in the Chictopia's"The Chic and The Fuzzy" contest with my photogenic kitty-cat, Dudley. He looks really freaked out in these pictures, but he was actually quite calm and collected.

Skirt, Thakoon for Target. Shirt, vintage Bill Blass. Shoes, Mixx. Bag, Vintage. Bracelet, Forever 21. Flowers, Forever 21.
Which picture(s) do you think I should enter?... 1, 2, 3, or 4?
This is what I wore today. I bought this skirt at Target from one of their GO designer lines a few years ago. It's Rogan for Target, and it's all eco-friendly. It's so short though. I take four steps, and it inches up to my bust line-- not very wearable. However, I like how it can be worn in different way. I can wear it with something simple- like a floaty top in a pretty color, or with black and something punky- like a studded belt and a blazer.

I'm looking for a full, highwaisted miniskirt to add to my wardrobe. I love them paired with a button down. The first one (from PeopleStyleWatch) is Twenty8Twelve. I like it best on Sienna Miller-- she makes it really funky and cool with the bright jewelry, stripes, oxfords, and the 70's sunglasses. Karla from Karla's Closet wears a similar one too.
Anyone know where I could find a skirt like this????
The Project Runway finale on Thursday was quite the event. I was so, so, so nervous. You should definitely check out Tim Gunn's Blog, his opinions are spot-on and well supported.
Seth Aaron: I thought Seth Aaron's collection accurately displayed his edgy sense of style that he has shown the whole season, but with a level of maturity. It was an interesting combination that he pulled off seamlessly. I thought every one of his pieces demonstrated his impecable craftsmanship. I was rooting for him the whole way through!
Emilio: Before the Tim Gunn home visits, Emilio was my second favorite. However, his finale collection was incredibly disappointing. I had just said (with a negative connotation, I might add) that "it was so 90s!" And then Raven Simone popped up on the screen with the statement "I liked that, it reminded me of the 90's. I'm totally bringing back the 90's!" with the accompaniment of a smile and an o.k. sign. Apparently other people really liked it, including Anthony, which kind of surprised me. But I will say, I quite loved his namesake print.
Mila: I thought that Mila should have come in 2nd place, rather than Emilio. I thought her finale collection was some of the strongest work she has displayed her whole time on the show. Even though I thought it was a little bit too casual to be "winning work", I was surprised at how much I liked it. My favorite piece was the last look-- the shell-like T-neckline dress.
Who do you think was the most qualified to win??...
Speaking of Project Runway, remember Christian!? Oh, who am I kidding, who couldn't remember Christian!?! Well I came across this video on his Twitter earlier today. He's very pixie-like and adorable.
